A Favorite Halloween Homebrew Difficulty: ★★★★★ Required Patience: ★★★★★
Along with the spirited arrival of Halloween, there's a tasty Halloween homebrew that's become a favorite with guys and "ghouls" alike - Fog Juice.
While our Halloween graveyard is alive with multiple smoke machines, this isn't the fog juice you put into machines - it's the kind you drink! Fog Juice is actually our homemade orangecello recipe that brings the season's best.
This recipe features packaging the orangello fog juice in airplane bottles; they boast the best of orange and make perfect adult gifts for Halloween gatherings.
Time To Prepare:
8-10 days
Foodie Tips:
Orangecello isn't made in a day; it actually takes 8-10 days to rest, so you'll want to get started a few days before All Hallows' Eve. Pro Tip: You can store your orangecello fog juice in the freezer for several weeks, so you can make this well ahead of Halloween. No worries, there's enough potion in orangecello to prevent them from freezing.
Our Halloween packaging features mini airplane bottles that we decorate with iconic skull heads, thanks to a little help from our Cricut machine. You can score your bottles on Amazon. Tip: Get the 48-count size; they even come with mini funnels to help you fill the bottles.
I keep orangecello on hand for impromptu gatherings, so I usually make a double batch of the stuff. A double batch will give you enough for 48 fog juice bottles, plus enough left over for 1-2 larger bottles/flasks for your home reserve.
I score glass 1-liter bottles from IKEA. They have an airtight lock and go from freezer to table in style. I discovered glass flasks at The Container Store, which are great for gift-giving.

Ingredients: 48 Count | Mini Liquor Bottles (Optional) 1-2 Batches | Homemade Orangecello
To Decorate | DIY Vinyl Skull Head Cutouts (Optional)
2. Now's a good time to order your mini liquor bottles (bottles or flasks), if using, or you can serve your orangecello in cordial, shot, or limoncello glasses. 3. Apply your skull head label (if using). 4. Bottle your orangello fog juice. Make sure to screw on the top cap to prevent leaking.

5. If you're making these ahead of time, you can freeze them - orangecello fog juice is best slow-sipped cold. Really cold. You can also serve it over ice if you're in a hurry and don't have time for freezing. 6. Store any remaining fog juice in the freezer for a few weeks (if it lasts that long).
Enjoy responsibly and Happy Halloween!
